Never knew about this until our guide recommended this tour. It brings the sacrifices made by young freedom fighters into the light. Well worth the 1+ hour tour!

Went to Ayalon Institute / The Bullet Factory – מכון איילון and it is INCREDIBLE!!! Must do, must visit for every student, Birthright group, ANYONE AND EVERYONE. INCREDIBLE!! (Kids ages 8-16).

Ayalon Bullet Factory. I’m not sure who was more enthralled the adults, the children or the toddler who had so much to ‘take in’ visually…The presentation was well done and we enjoyed. I thought the whole thing was indoors, but there are parts outdoors so be aware – wasn’t too bad and we ‘walked between the drops’. The stairs were steep, but we had enough adults to handle it…Not sure what other specifics to give. Waze took us right there and it was ~1.5 hours.

Highly highly recommend the ayalon institute (bullet factory). It’s very near the science gardens and is an educational and fascinating experience for all ages

One of the most interesting places to visit in Israel due to the history of the factory. What an ingenious, resourceful people, and how brave. Great gift shop, too.

The Ayalon Museum in Rehovot is great for older kids and their parents, but not for anyone who is unsteady or for strollers. There is a film in English but I think you need to book it first. There are steps to go up and down as the Museum is underground. Our USA grandchildren enjoyed it, and it’s especially good for Brits. I don’t want to give anything away.

It is a wonderful place, but not suitable for babies in strollers or anyone in wheelchairs as there are a lot of stairs during the tour! Wonderful fascinating place though!

It’s a terrific place! My boys – aged 8 and 11 – loved it and they’re not usually not so great about ‘museums’. Highly recommended.

We went to the Ayalon Institute in Rechovot – very interesting museum and I think slightly older children would enjoy although there were a lot of young ones on our tour and they seemed to enjoy it – you have to book in advance

If you do this museum, you should go to the underground aqueduct in Ramle; very close and each is a short museum.

Oh yes we loved this and recommending the Palmach museum, I’d say age 8 up, need to book a tour

Awesome tour! My bigger kids, from age 5 and up LOVED it… At the time, my two youngest were about 3 and 1 and it was actually dangerous for them. There’s one part that’s underground with a crazy-winding metal staircase that they wanted to “play” on. Recommended tour for kids who can understand a guided tour. Very well done IMO

Thats the bullet factory right? We went about a year ago with my extended family, the kids were 5 and 8. I think 5 is actually their minimum and you cannot bring a stroller. Its a tour and there is not too much freedom to go around after the tour. We did the tour and the Weizman center clore garden of science in the same day…
