We had a great time with our 4- and 7-year-olds. There was a nice presentation with a beekeeper who showed us how they build honeycombs and how they take care of the bees and harvest the honey. Was very very interesting. After that, they showed us how to make beeswax candles by hand. We went on a tractor ride around the kibbutz and saw their cows, learned a bit of history, saw the site of a big battle during the war of independence. The last stop was a museum dedicated to kibbutz history… Full of artifacts and photos. We were there almost 3 hours. Highly recommended. Enjoy!
Before doing this tour, we spent an hour and a half at the Sweet Corn Maze מבוך התירס המתוק about 15 minutes away.

I was Ulpan at Kibbutz Yad Mordechai in 1980. My name is David Bloom, I am from the USA and I had the best time of my life. I wish I was able to speak with some of the people I met there 40 years ago, but that would be impossible.

Its two seperate activities – the bees and the museum – but you can get tickets that cover both. We were there last year and had a good time- kids were 4 and 7. In the area there is strawberry picking in moshav yesha and a petting zoo in kibbutz gvaram
