‘If you contact them in advance that you are a group they may be able to put on a display of traditional Circassian dance and a light Circassian meal (kosher available), the guides at the museum are fascinating and when we came with our little kids did their best to pick out stories and items that might interest the kids.’
Description:
Museum showcasing the history of Kfar Kama, settled by Circassian immigrants in the late 70s of the 19th century.
The museum is located in the middle of the “old town” of Kfar Kama which is 130 years of age and you can see a traditional circassian house preserving the characteristics of these unique people.
See different tools and equipment used by the circassian community since the early days of the settlement of Kfar Kama.
Learn more about circassian heritage, unique traditional clothing, weaving of fabrics, music instruments and special beads for horses – all shown in the museum.
