On Friday (July 2016) my family took part in an AMAZING sadna at The Workshop Gush Etzion. Each person was able to choose from 3 different products to create (with more choices to come). This is no ordinary arts and crafts activity. This is a true wood working activity where you are taught and actually use real machinery and create your own unique Judaica product. We arrived at the workshop and were welcomed and given a short tour. Immediately you get the feeling that real work is going to be done during your visit. We went and chose our projects and were given the instructions of all the steps that we were going to complete, on our own. Jeremy Broder and Mandy Broder then gave us a talk about safety and introduced us to the machines we would be using. During the rest of the time, we were all busy working, having fun, and personalizing our product. We all went home with beautiful works for art and have been smiling ever since. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this activity!

Description:

The Workshop Gush Etzion is a fun and exciting, hands-on experience, creating your own piece of Judaica.

The sessions run for 2.5 - 3 hours and are suitable for everyone age 6 and up (we’ve had participants up to the age of 90 so far – and many ages in between, and the adults seem to enjoy it just as much as the kids).

Please understand that for safety and insurance reasons, children under the age of 6 will not be able to use our machinery unassisted.

You will get to work with your hands and on some of our machines in a safe but fun environment.

Projects

We have a variety of projects to choose from, including individual projects and family projects. The family projects consist of each family member creating his/her own individual piece, and the pieces are then connected together to make a “joint-effort” piece that you can hang proudly in your home, with the knowledge that everyone had a part in making it.

We are constantly working on new ideas, to make this a place that you can come back to time and time again, with the chance to make something different each time you visit.

Price

The cost per person is 280 Shekel (at time of writing), with a minimum of 1,800 Shekel to open a group. We are happy to open a group for as few people as you like, as long as the minimum is covered. Prices can vary especially during peak times. During chaggim/ holiday periods, minimum of 2,200 shekel per session. Please call for accurate pricing.

Whenever we are able to add smaller groups to an existing group, we do so, but we cannot always guarantee that you’ll get the specific date/time you’re looking for.

Another option for you would be to get a group of friends together to make up the numbers if necessary.

We are able to accommodate 20+ people per session.
