If anyone is looking for a fun afternoon activity in the Beit Shemesh area, I highly recommend biking at Nekudat Motzah in Tzafririm. Bike rental, beautiful paths, suitable for a wide range of ages. Has a great jogger stroller attachment for babies and toddlers. 2 of my kids brought their own bikes and he even pumped their tires because they were low on air!

King David Biking Tour
This is an amazing and unique half day activity for families. The guides from Trailhead will take you by bike through Emek HaElla which includes:
Ancient ruins will tell a riveting story spanning 2000 years of local history!
You can crawl in hiding caves, from the time of the local rebellion against the Romans.
Ancient agriculture meets the modern world – making wine, then and today.
You will enjoy the tranquility and nature of the beautiful Judean hills, in the center of Israel.
How does it work?
We will start the tour at TrailHead site, in Moshav Zafririm. After a short introduction we will fit you with bikes and helmets, and start riding through the Adulam hills, surrounded by natural vegetation, fields and vineyards. There are many routes and options, and it is enjoyable for inexperienced riders as well as for the enthusiasts.
We will stop and head out to explore ancient ruins dated to the times of the Romans, tracking traces of settlements from the Second Temple era. Here you will have a chance to explore some caves, compare past and present agriculture, and learn about the Judea area from one of the viewpoints. Then we will complete the tour back at TrailHead.
We have bikes for rent in Adulum Park, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. As Israeli tour guides, we do not limit ourselves to bike tours only. We take people in any size of group to show them any part of Israel that might interest them.
Whether it’s on foot, hiking along some of the many trails Israel nature can offer, or on bikes both off and on the road, we can help you have a great day out. Site seeing and visiting, hopping from place to place by car is also a great option in many cases.
